The Indian Hills Riding Club will open a new season with a practice playday on March 29 at 9 a.m. at the Burnet Rodeo Arena.
Proceeds from the playday will help get the club up and running before the saddle series starts in April. There are seven shows scheduled for 2008 with riders vying for point saddles, buckles and other awards.
The club has also scheduled a benefit playday, ranch sorting and barbecue for May 31 to help cover the medical bills of four-year-old Cordyn Alderman of Marble Falls. Cordyn is recovering from retinoblastoma, a rare form of childhood eye cancer.
He is the son of Nick and Crissy Alderman of Marble Falls, and the grandson of Gary and Debie Alderman and Cody and Glenda Orman of Burnet.
For more information on the club or any of its events, call Bobby Vaughn at 715-2330.
