Lady Badgers fall to Dripping Springs, 3-0 The Lampasas High School softball team fell to 0-2 in District 25- 4A with a 3-0 road loss against Dripping Springs on Friday. The Lady Badgers (9-10-1 overall) faced one of the region's top hurlers in Paige Sandahl. Sandahl, who struck out 16 Lady Bulldogs in a 5-0 win against Burnet last Monday, improved to 13-3 overall on the year. "She's the best pitcher we've seen so far," LHS head coach Chris Gaffney said. "Against a pitcher like that, you get very few chances, so when you do get runners on, you have to move them over so you can get them in. We had one real shot to do that and didn't. We need to execute our small-ball game better." Kirby Crow took the tough-luck loss, allowing zero earned runs in the game. "Defensively, we played pretty well," Gaffney said. "But we made two mistakes in the outfield, and it led to all three runs. It's too bad because Kirby pitched a great game." The Lady Badgers are scheduled to travel to Marble Falls to play the Lady Mustangs today. The junior varsity is scheduled to start at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity at 7 p.m. LHS Varsity Baseball at Brownwood Tournament: The Lampasas High School varsity baseball team fell to 3-10 on the year with three losses at the Brownwood Tournament.
