Mrs. Hyatt Raythene Hyatt, 82, of Burnet died March 7, 2008. Funeral services were March 10 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Burnet with Jerry McKown officiating. Burial was at Round Mountain Cemetery. Mrs. Hyatt was born March 9, 1925, in Round Mountain, the daughter of Raymond and Opal Shahan. She married Rankin Burdett Hyatt on Feb. 10, 1946. Mrs. Hyatt was a rancher's daughter. She was an outdoors person and liked to ride a horse and help her husband work the livestock on the Triple R and the R&R Hyatt Ranch, as well as their own personal livestock. She worked for 13 years, with 10 of those as a telephone operator in Burnet and three as a store clerk. Survivors include two sons and their wives, Gordon and Anita Hyatt, of Adamsville, and Gary and Kathy Hyatt, of Roosevelt; a daughter, Teresa Hyatt Kiker, and husband, Danny, of Anson; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren. Mrs. Hyatt was preceded in death by her husband in 1998, and by a sister, Inez Buchholz. Pallbearers were grandsons, Glenn, Andrew, Rodger and Luke Hyatt, Matthew and Will Kiker, Howard Cox and Matt Atkinson. Arrangements by Clements- Wilcox Funeral Home of Burnet. |
