2 Lometa girls earn 29-1A hoops recognition

Lometa High School senior Taylor Bradley and junior Maria Jasso were selected to the District 29-1A, Division II All-District Basketball team.

Bradley, who was also selected to serve as an alternate at a high school all-star game in Lubbock, was named to first team.

"These are both great honors, and Taylor is well-deserving of both," Lometa head coach Brandy Eckermann said. "Taylor is a very hard worker and a great student both in and out of the classroom. She is well respected and is someone other students look up to. She is a great representative for our district."

Jasso was named to the second team.

"Maria gives everything she has to everything she does," Eckermann said. "She sets her standards high both on and off the court, and she pushes her teammates to do the very best they can and a little bit more. She's the type of athlete and student coaches want more of. She has worked hard to earn this honor."
