Crime Stoppers seeks assistance
      The Lampasas County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's assistance to help solve a theft. According to Investigator David Thorp, the crime took place on County Road 4034 in Lampasas County between 10 p.m. Feb. 25 and Feb. 26 at 8:30 a.m.

Kempner council approves street light

      Kempner City Council in a recent meeting approved the installation of a street light at the intersection of U.S. Highway 190 and Peach Street, two blocks east of downtown Kempner. Hamilton County Electric Cooperative will install the light.

County jail sentence handed down for DWI
      In recent 27th District Court action, Judge Joe Carroll sentenced James Craig Groves, 37, of Lampasas to six months in the Lampasas County Jail and 18 months' probation for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition, which was prosecuted as a misdemeanor.
