Local woman needs assistance

A longtime Lampasas volunteer is in need of assistance, and her covolunteers at the Love Center are hoping residents will help.

Gaynell Edmondson of Lometa, a 12-year Love Center volunteer and former Lampasas resident, has had surgery for lung cancer and is scheduled to have more surgery in the coming months. Ms. Edmondson has fallen on hard times, according to Love Center personnel, and donations would be appreciated. Funds can be dropped off at the Love Center weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or taken to CitiBank to be deposited into Ms. Edmondson's account.
