'Christ in the Passover' set March 14

First Baptist Church will host Bruce Rapp on March 14 at 6 p.m. for a presentation of "Christ in the Passover." The public is invited.

Rapp is an evangelist with Jews for Jesus, based out of the Phoenix office. He was national director of Mobile Evangelism at the Jews for Jesus San Francisco headquarters for three years before becoming a full-time missionary.

Jews for Jesus is an organization that proclaims Jesus as the Messiah of Israel and Savior of the world. "What could be more Jewish than following the Messiah?" said Rapp, who considers himself 100 percent Jewish and 100 percent Christian.

With scripture and visual demonstrations, he will walk participants through a Passover "seder" supper, weaving the story of the Exodus together with the life, death and resurrection of Christ.

The event will include a fellowship meal. Interested participants are asked to contact the church office to reserve a place. Admission is free, although a voluntary offering for Jews for Jesus will be collected.
