Musical to be held at church

The acoustic pop duo Monk & Neagle will perform March 14 at 7 p.m. at New Covenant Church as part of the group's 21st Time Tour.

Those in attendance can name their own ticket price and receive a free acoustic CD.

The duo from Amarillo has been compared to the Christian group Shane & Shane, as well as to popular acoustic musicians John Mayer and Jack Johnson. A review in Charisma magazine's February edition highlighted Monk & Neagle's singles "Beautiful You," "Wonderful Angel" and "Into Orbit" from the group's second album, The Twenty- First Time.

Monk & Neagle's title track from The Twenty-First Time has risen as high as No. 9 on R & R's Christian ACMonitored chart.
