Blood drive nets 56 pints

Illness and cold weather combined to put a damper on participation for the second American Red Cross Community Blood Drive of the year held Monday at AMVETS Post 80.

But Wanda Meyers, drive coordinator, said she is very thankful for the 56 faithful donors who did respond.

Mrs. Meyers also expressed her thanks to the volunteers.

Next drive is May 5 from 12:30- 6:30 p.m. at AMVETS.
