Grand jury returns 20 indictments
The Lampasas County Grand Jury handed down 20 indictments against 19 persons in its most recent term.

The Lampasas Police Department presented cases that resulted in the indictment of:

• Armando Rosales, 29, for criminal mischief, on Dec. 13.

• Ty Sterling Spieker, 32, for driving while intoxicated with a child, on Feb. 3.

• David Lee Carroll, 44, for two counts of theft, on Feb. 20, 2007, and Feb. 26, 2007.

• Gerald Dee Brown, 42, for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, on Jan. 27.

• Lori Michelle Cummins, 31, for criminal non-support, on Nov. 1.

• Marvin Douglas Crutsinger, 42, for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, on Nov. 7.

• Lowell Preston Garza, 18, for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, on Jan. 16.

• Mark Evan Lancaster, 47, for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, on Aug. 7.

• Phillip Edward Ramirez, 29, for driving while intoxicated, third or more, on Feb. 6.

The Lometa Police Department presented one case that resulted in the indictment of Rolando Gonzalez, 33, for sexual assault of a child under 17, on Dec. 10.

The Lampasas County Sheriff's Department presented cases that resulted in indictments against:

• Christina Nichole Bruton, 22, for sexual assault of a child under 17, on Jan. 3.

• James Ryan Crowley, 24, for sexual assault of a child under 17, on July 1.

• Jamie Doreen Duncan, 23, for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, on Dec. 8.

• Claudio Nieto Barnes, 34, for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, on Jan. 20.

• Shaun Keone Spencer, 26, for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, on Jan. 20.

The Lampasas County Attorney's office presented two cases, with indictments returned against:

• Alicia Rae Lewis, 30, for endangering a child, on Jan. 19.

• Cheri Downing Spencer, 40, for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, on Dec. 31.

Two indictments were handed down by the Major Crimes Assistance Unit to:

• Mary Anne Curington, 52, for possession of a chemical with intent to manufacture, on Jan. 29.

• Patricia Michelle Maynard, 33, for possession of a chemical with intent to manufacture, on Jan. 29.
