Couple exchange vows in outdoor ceremony
      Jamie Lea Morris and David Key Garrett Jr., both of Lampasas, exchanged wedding vows in an Oct. 27, 2007, afternoon ceremony on Deer Creek at Tanyard Ranch in northern Burnet County. The double-ring ceremony was performed by Pastor Mark Barnard of Naruna Baptist Church.

      Texas Hearing & Service Dogs is celebrating its 20th year of training dogs to assist Texans living with deafness or mobility-related disabilities by inviting even more people to apply for the dogs. Each dog is specially trained by THSD to help its partner live more independently.

Chili supper
      The Lampasas Senior Center will hold a chili supper March 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 901 S. Live Oak. Chili, dessert and a drink are $6 per person. Take-outs will be available. Funds raised will go toward replacing equipment, decorating the interior of the center and activities.
