Mr. Wolff Funeral services for Freddie Wolff, 63, of Flat, were March 2, 2008, at Coryell County Complex with the Rev. Bruce Cox officiating. Burial was at Wolff Family Cemetery near their home. Mr. Wolff died Feb. 28 at a local hospital. He was born June 11, 1944, in Gatesville, to the lae C.E. (Dodie) and Ruth Wolff. Mr. Wolff was reared in the Flat and Owl Creek areas. He attended school in Flat where he excelled in sports and was valedictorian of his 1962 graduating class. He began working at the sale barn at age 15. He worked briefly in Belton as he continued to work in and around sale barns. Mr. Wolff began buying cattle for himself and others, and it quickly grew into his lifelong career. He owned and operated Belton Livestock Auction in the 1970s. In 1979, Mr. Wolff married Pam Boney, and they made their home in Flat, where he continued his business of cattle buying and ranching. He enjoyed auctioneering and volunteering at youth fairs and charities for crippled children. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Elisha Wolff; a son, Brent Wolff, and his wife, Lori; and sisters, Cindy Bankston, and husband, Curtis, and Cecilia Petrie, and husband, Jerry. He was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Wolff. The family requested memorials be made to Coryell County Youth Fair, P.O. Box 133, Gatesville, TX 76528 or the American Heart Association, P.O.
