Crime Stoppers offers reward

On Feb. 21, the Lampasas County Sheriff's Department received a report of a hit-and-run accident on County Road 2227.

Officials said a fence and rock entrance to a residence were struck with a vehicle, believed to be a Volkswagen Beetle manufactured between 2002 and 2005. The vehicle and driver fled the scene.

No other information is known about the vehicle, which probably sustained substantial damage to its front end.

Anyone with information that could lead to the identification of the person or persons responsible is asked to contact Lampasas County Crime Stoppers at 556-ARMY or the sheriff's office at 556-8255.

Callers need not reveal their identity and could be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000 if the information leads to an arrest.
