Church to host men's choir

Believing that few musical experiences pack more power than a great men's choir, First Baptist Church of Lampasas will host the Singing Men of North Central Texas for a concert on Thursday at 7 p.m.

The program will include selections by the 50-plus voice choir and its handbell and instrumental ensembles.

The Singing Men of Texas is composed of men from across the state who serve in various musicrelated capacities in Texas Baptist churches and institutions.

The group is divided into six regional subgroups that present concerts in contemporary and classic gospel music in various venues.

The group also participates in missions emphases, and has performed in Austria, Czechoslovakia, Brazil, China, Romania and across Europe.

Admission to the concert is free. A voluntary offering will be collected to benefit the group's mission trips.
