Willie Blair

Willie Flynn Blair, 79, of Lampasas died Feb. 25, 2008, at Rollins Brook Community Hospital.

Graveside services were Feb. 28 at Sand Hill Cemetery at Bend with Minister Reid Schaub officiating.

Mr. Blair was born Dec. 17, 1928, in East Texas, the son of Edward Harris and Sarah Ethel Lumpkin Blair.

He joined the U.S. Army at 16, living in various countries and states such as Germany, Korea, France and Kansas.

Mr. Blair retired in 1963 and went to work at the post exchange.

He is survived by four sons, Eddie F. Blair, and wife, Janet, of Waco, Darrell L. Blair, and wife, Luanne, of Austin, and Dwain G. Blair and Michael A. Blair, and wife, Sheri, all of Lampasas; and grandchildren, Cody Blair, Ryan Blair, Megan Blair and Brian Blair.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Leigh, Eva, Edith and Edesta Blair; brothers, Johnny, Girves and Jasper Blair; a daughter, Ann Charlotte Blair; granddaughter, Kelsie Blair; grandson, Chris Blair; and wife, Lawana Blair.

The family requested memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
