Rachel Bocanegra Gonzalez of Comanche died Feb. 23, 2008, at Comanche County Medical Center after a brief battle with ALS. She was 42.

A memorial service is Feb. 27, 2008, at 10 a.m. at Community Church in Lampasas with Minister Reid Schaub officiating. The body will be cremated.

Ms. Gonzalez was born Nov. 23, 1965, in Hereford, the daughter of Daniel H. Bocanegra and Frances Gonzalez.

She was a homemaker and a Christian.

Ms. Gonzalez graduated from Lampasas High School in 1984. She married Earl Ray Nunn Jr. on Jan. 18, 1985.

She was reared in Lampasas by her great-great-grandmother, Melitona Hernandez.

Survivors include her daughter, Cierra Nunn, of Waco; her mother of Friona; her father and his wife, Hilda, of DeLeon; sisters, Melinda Doyle, of Rio Rancho, N.M., Carolyn Moworr, of Wichita, Kan., Leola Summerlin, of Friona, Belinda Hunter, of Stephenville, Dee Dee Ramirez, of Brownwood, and Rebecca Rodriguez, of DeLeon; a brother, Jesse Gonzalez, of Stephenville; and numerous other relatives, including Jesse Hegedio, of Comanche.
