Republicans plan to meet

Republicans are invited to attend the Tuesday meeting of Burnet County Republican Club at the Burnet Community Center. Social hour begins at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. A catered barbecue brisket dinner with all the trimmings is $15 per person.

Candidates running in the March primary for various local and state offices will be given time for a short presentation on their platform and ideas. They also will be present before and after the meeting to visit with constituents.

New club officers will begin their terms. They include Bill Parmeter, president; Johnny B. Rogers, vice president; Doris Graeter, secretary; and Amber Jones, treasurer. Visitors are welcome.
