The Lampasas High School girls' golf team finished ninth out of 21 teams during the Lampasas Girls Tournament at Hancock Park Golf Course on Thursday.

Marble Falls won the tournament with a team-stroke total of 370. San Saba finished second at 378, and Llano placed third at 399.

Hutto's Ilissa Riley-Jaggers finished first in the individual standings with a 78, followed by San Saba's Shelby Hardy (79) and Marble Falls' Soo Jin Han (82).

With a junior, three freshmen and two sophomores, the Lady Badgers registered a team-stroke total of 460.

"We played a lot of young kids this week and several players playing in their first 18-hole tournament," LHS coach Stuart Beckwith said.

"We shot some high scores because of the wind and the fact that we're young. These kids are willing to work hard and learn the game. Their scores will improve."
