Trailer homes destroyed in fire

Kempner Fire Department personnel battled a blaze Sunday at 8:38 a.m., with assistance from the Lampasas Fire Department.

Officials note that four trailer houses were destroyed in the fire on County Road 4808 in East Lampasas County. The homes, unoccupied at the time, were being renovated.

The fire is under investigation by County Fire Marshal Gene Harrison.

A burn ban remains in effect in the county.
