Trailer homes destroyed in fire
      Kempner Fire Department personnel battled a blaze Sunday at 8:38 a.m., with assistance from the Lampasas Fire Department. Officials note that four trailer houses were destroyed in the fire on County Road 4808 in East Lampasas County. The homes, unoccupied at the time, were being renovated.

      Filing for City Council seats in Lampasas, Lometa and Kempner, and school board positions in Lampasas and Lometa continues through March 10. Early voting will run April 28 through May 6, with elections set for May 10.
