Vows exchanged in Lakeway church ceremony

Beard-Arcediano
Brena Lynn Beard of Lakeway and Adam Paul Arcediano of Austin exchanged wedding vows in a Dec. 1, 2007, ceremony at Emmaus Catholic Church in Lakeway.

The Rev. James Harnan officiated the double-ring evening ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Jesse and Mary Anna Beard of Lometa. She is the granddaughter of Warren Harris of Star and the late Mildred Harris, the late Fred and Mary Alice Wittenburg, and the late David Beard.

The groom is the son of James and Rosemary Arcediano of Baton Rouge, La., and the grandson of Michael and Hazel Arcediano and the late Charles "Red" and Maggie Griffin Sr.

Wedding music was provided by organist Phyllis Noonan, soloist Jennifer Stuart and guitarist Nick Rios.

Selections included "Ave Maria," "Canon in D," "Trumpet Voluntary" and "One Hand, One Heart."

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

The bride's gown, made of ivory Florence organza, featured beaded re-embroidered lace over mocha shantung. The strapless, fitted gown had a trumpet skirt and chapellength train.

Her shoulder-length ivory veil was trimmed with beaded, embroidered lace.

To complement her gown, the bride carried a simple clutch bouquet featuring a combination of white and champagne flowers accented with orchids and hypericum berries. It was wrapped with a double-faced ivory satin ribbon and tailored bow. It held a rosary belonging to the bride's mother.

Matron of honor was Shelly Akers.

Bridesmaids were cousins of the bride, Stacy Meuth and Annalyn Deen; the groom's sisters, Angela Warren, Brandie Pampell and Amanda Cooper; and Layla Wood.

Attendants wore tea-length, empire style dresses of champagne shantung with a black Alencon lace overlay at the waist. They wore black shantung shrugs and carried bouquets of orange coxcomb, safari sunset, orange unique roses, leonidas roses and hypericum berries.

Flower girl was Kyleigh Meuth, cousin of the bride.

She wore a floor-length, champagne shantung dress identical to the bridesmaids' dresses. She carried a lace-covered champagne bas- ket filled with matching flowers.

Best man was the groom's father.

Groomsmen were Evan Arcediano, brother of the groom; Jared Beard, the bride's brother; and Kyle Ledbetter, David Hinojosa, Paul Laundry and Shelby Bufkin.

Ring bearer was Carson Warren, the groom's nephew.

Ushers were Scott Sage and Preston Wittenburg, cousins of the bride, and Jon Wyrick.

Mark Wittenburg and Mike Wittenburg, uncles of the bride, gave special Bible readings.

Houseparty members included Sarah Wittenburg and McKinsey Lewis, cousins of the bride.

After the ceremony, a reception and dance were given by the bride's parents at Vintage Villas in Lakeway overlooking Lake Travis. Hors d'oeuvres, cake and punch were served.

The bride's three-tiered white butter cream cake was accented with black and champagne ribbons on each layer and garnished with fresh flowers.

The groom's double-layer triple chocolate cake had fleur-de-lis accents in white chocolate.

After a wedding trip to St. Lucia in the southern Caribbean, the couple is at home in Lakeway.

The bride is a 1998 Needville High School graduate. She received a physical therapy assistant degree from Austin Community College and works in the physical therapy department at The Summit on Lakeway, an assisted living facility.

The groom, a 1997 graduate of The Dunham School, attended Louisiana State University and received a bachelor of science degree from Southwest Mississippi Community College.

He is the owner of Rockin' Ride and R&R Bus Company, transportation services in Austin, and is a franchise owner of Sea- Tow, a marine assistance corporation. He also is president of Northeast Austin Rotary Club.

The groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Hills Country Club in Lakeway prior to the ceremony.
