LHS boys' golf hosts tourney

The Lampasas High School varsity boys' golf team finished sixth out of 20 teams at the Badger Invitational Monday at Hancock Park Golf Course.

Lake Travis won the tournament with 311 strokes, knocking off second place Pflugerville Hendrickson in a scorecard playoff after Hendrickson finished with 311 strokes.

Georgetown finished third at 317, Llano fourth at 321, Dripping Springs fifth at 322 and LHS sixth at 326.

LHS freshman Stayton Lindeman finished seventh out of 120 golfers, shooting a 76. Colin Scheafnocker finished 15th with his career-best 79. Tanner Belanger shot an 84, and Taylor Crawford shot an 87 to round out the recorded scoring for LHS.

The Badgers are scheduled to play at San Saba March 10. The Lady Badgers played host to a tournament on Thursday. Results will be in Tuesday's edition.
