Betty Sue Crawford

Lometa resident Betty Sue Crawford, 77, died Feb. 10, 2008, at her residence.

Funeral services were Feb. 13 at Lometa Church of Christ. Burial was at Senterfitt Cemetery at Lometa.

Mrs. Crawford was born Sept. 8, 1930, in Childress, to O.W. and Bessie Burgess Howard.

She married William Kenneth "Bill" Crawford on Jan. 1, 1994, in San Antonio.

Mrs. Crawford worked as a tour guide. She enjoyed traveling and shopping.

She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Brenda Sue and Mackey Thompson, of Lometa; a sister, Wanda Simpson, of Plano; three grandchildren, Skyla Brook Thompson, Sage McKenna Thompson and Sami Dawn Thompson; and numerous cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and by a sister, Faye Stephens.

The family requested memorials be made to Cherokee Children's Home in Cherokee.
