SHOOTING

 

The Lampasas 4-H Shooting Sports Club will hold its monthly meeting today at 7 p.m. at the Lampasas Holiday Inn Express.

All 4-H members and youth ages 9 to 18 are eligible to participate in monthly shotgun-target events, including skeet, trap and sporting clay shoots.

Participants should bring a parent or guardian to all meetings and shooting events, which are conducted on one Saturday or Sunday each month.

SEMI-PRO FOOTBALL

 

Hutto's Texas Bulldogs football team has scheduled open tryouts on March 15 at the old Hippo Stadium off Highway 79.

The Bulldogs are members of the World Football League, which has semiprofessional teams across the country. Participants must be at least 18 years old.

Registration is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. and tryouts at 9 a.m. There is a $35 nonrefundable tryout fee due before or at registration. To register early, contact the organization at texasbulldogs1@yahoo.com.
