Kangaroos hand LHS boys 4-0 loss

The Killeen High School boys' soccer team toppled the Lampasas High School boys, 4-0, in a District 8-4A matchup on Tuesday night.

The Kangaroos scored three times in the first 10 minutes and added a fourth on a second-half direct kick that ricocheted off the crossbar. LHS goalkeeper Alex Rininger recorded 11 saves.

The LHS boys and girls are scheduled to play Copperas Cove on Tuesday. The boys are on the road and the girls at home.

LHS JV Boys 2, Killeen 0: The Badgers picked up a district win behind a shutout effort from goaltender Michael Shaughnessy.

Joshua Akers and David Sours each found the net for Lampasas.
