Woman gets jail sentence

In a short 27th District Court docket last week, Judge Joe Carroll sentenced 39-year-old Tammy Lorine McCullough to seven years in the Texas Department of Corrections for possession of a controlled substance. She also was fined $1,000 and must pay $215 in court costs.

Ms. McCullough was credited with jail time served. She is eligible to apply for shock probation.

And, Scott Anthony Gunn, 36, was denied a bond hearing and is set for a Feb. 22 pretrial for sexual assault of a child.
