Entries in needle art show to be accepted

This quilt, owned by Bob and Carol Wright, will be on display during the show.
Committee members for the Needle Art and Quilt Show: Stitches in Time will accept entries March 1 at Keystone Square Museum from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Any type of quilt or needle art by people of all ages will be accepted. Committee members also encourage entering quilts or needle art made by an ancestor.

Organizers also hope to see more children's work this year. Adults may enter work they did as a youngster.

Those in attendance may vote on a people's choice quilt. Awards will be presented at the culmination of the March 7-8 show.

This year's event will feature two special artists: fabric artist Zell Cook and Beth Hightower and the Lometa Quilting Club.

Three raffle items, demonstrations, vendors, a bake sale and more will be offered at this year's two-day show.

Keystone Square Museum will have a special exhibition of Christmas tree ornaments handmade by Karen Glasscock and an exhibition of quilts from the collection of Carol and Bob Wright, handmade by Wright's ancestors.

For entry information, phone 556-2224 or send an e-mail to naq07@pgrb.com.

The annual show is the major fund-raiser for the museum, a nonprofit organization. Joyce Lucas is this year's event chairman.
