Celebrating their heritage
Adamsville's 100th anniversary celebration was held at the community center with a variety of events. Wanda Lang, chairman of the Adamsville Heritage Society, read a proclamation dedicated to Adamsville's past and present, while District 54 State Rep. Jimmie Don Aycock read a proclamation for the future of Adamsville. Above, participants pictured, include from left, Mrs. Lang; Terri and Jack Cox, Jimmie Don and Marie Aycock; Nina and the Rev. Glynn Tyson; and Betty Rials, heritage association publicity chair. Also in attendance were County Attorney Larry Allison and Chief Deputy David Whitis and his wife, Judi. A number of other special guests and visitors were on hand for the occasion. Below, a large group turned out to salute the community on its milestone.
