Poor ballot choices

2008 is the year of the empty ballot.

On the Republican side, the best-qualified -- Newt Gingrich -- was not accepted into the Republican clique.

On the Democratic side, Barack Obama was beginning to emerge as a contender, until he got Ted Kennedy's endorsement. What did Mr. Obama accept off the liberal Massachusetts senator's plate to get the endorsement? As for Hillary, it is too bad Vince Foster is not around to tell his story.

Bloomberg, the independent, if he enters, not a chance.

Mickey Mouse gets my vote.
