15-year jail sentence handed down in district court action An Austin man received 15 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division in recent action in Judge Joe Carroll's 27th District Courtroom. Jeffery Wade Menem, 39, charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, was credited with time served. Also receiving a jail sentence was Rogelio Rivera, 25, of Lampasas. He was given six years in jail for bond jumping, followed by 10 years' deferred adjudication probation on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Rivera also must attend a substance abuse treatment facility and pay court costs and restitution. He was credited with jail time served. A 20-month state jail sentence was given to Ty Justin West, 28, after his probation was revoked on a charge of hindering a secured creditor. He received credit for jail time served. On a charge of possession of a controlled substance, Wylon Luke Joy, 26, of Lampasas received five years' probation and a $500 fine. He also was ordered to perform community service and attend the Roy Robb Facility on March 18. Scott Anthony Gunn, 36, is set for pretrial today. He is charged with sexual assault of a child. Adjudication hearings are on today's docket for Tammy Lorine McCullough, 39, for possession of a controlled substance, and Robert Garza Jr., 22, for possession of a controlled substance. Jennifer Fralin, 26, is set for an adjudication hearing Feb. 8 on a charge of theft over $1,500 and under $20,000. On his charge of driving while intoxicated and felony repetition, Terry Jay Crosby, 36, of San Saba faces a Feb. 8 arraignment. Feb. 8 pretrials are slated for Joseph Howard Farr, 20, of Copperas Cove on a charge of evading arrest with a vehicle; John Ebon Woodruff, 33, for illegal dumping/disposal; and Ted Paul Horn, 69, for aggravated assault causing bodily injury with a deadly weapon. A Feb. 11 jury trial is slated for Terry Jack Ayers, 50, of Holiday for intoxication assault. Feb. 22 is the date set for an adjudication hearing for Robert Allen McCullough, 39, for possession of a controlled substance. Also scheduled Feb. 22 is an arraignment hearing for Michael Lane Henderson, 45, of Lampasas for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition. Feb. 22 petrial hearings are expected for Jana Terese Hernandez, 30, of Lampasas for two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and for Nicholas Darrell Harvin, 27, for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. Kempner resident Ali Hussein Ibrahim, 19, is to enter a plea on Feb. 22 for graffiti. Michael James Odneal-Ybarra, 18, of Lampasas faces a Feb. 29 plea for delivery of a dangerous drug. Also to enter a plea Feb. 29 is James Craig Groves, 37, of Lampasas for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition. Pretrial hearings are set for the Feb. 29 docket for James Worth Nesom, 50, for driving while intoxicated with a child passenger; Douglas Lynn McGuffey, 21, for possession of a controlled substance; and Richard Thurston House, 22, of Dublin for theft over $20,000 and under $100,000. A jury trial is March 10 for Brenda Sue Gaines, 31, of Killeen. She is charged with forgery. A March 28 pretrial hearing is slated for Mark Anthony Lujan, 31, for aggravated assault/threat with a deadly weapon. And an April 18 adjudication hearing is set for Clifford Bryan Cason, 19, for evading arrest with a vehicle. |
