Burn ban reinstated

Citing numerous grass fires and continuing dry, windy conditions, County Judge Wayne Boultinghouse on Monday reinstated the countywide ban on outdoor burning.

Exceptions to the burn ban include barbecue pits and household trash burned in a barrel with a screen on top. The only other special exceptions are for agricultural purposes with prior approval from the county fire marshal.
