Youths garner show awards

Lampasas County youth performed well at Kerrville at the recent Hill Country District Livestock Show.

In the market steer division, Madison Langford earned a blue ribbon with her first-place lightweight exotic steer.

John Cole Vann exhibited the second place heavyweight exotic steer.

Karleigh Vann and Ashton Holloman each exhibited thirdplace steers in the exotic division.

Jordan Langford, Kallen Vann, Layton Irvin, Logan Irvin and Shawna Holloman also competed.

In the meat goat division, both Sam and Ty Pauly qualified for the premium sale with second-place finishes.

Sam Pauly also took a fifthplace, and Ty Pauly earned an eighth-place.

Jessica and Reid Moore also competed.

In the market lamb division, Sam Pauly's finewool cross and mediumwool both finished in eighth place, and Ty Pauly was ninth with his finewool cross.

Mac Pauly also competed. The next stop for many exhibitors is the Fort Worth Stock Show.
