Lena Cummins

Lena Elizabeth Cummins, 76, of Lampasas died Jan. 26, 2008, at her residence.

Funeral services are Jan. 29 at 3 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Veazey officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.

Mrs. Cummins was born Dec. 11, 1931, in Lampasas, the daughter of Hiram Willows Rhymes and Mary Elizabeth Biddy.

She married Willie Leon Cummins on April 17, 1947.

Mrs. Cummins worked in housekeeping for Lampasas Manor and at the University of Texas.

She was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God.

Survivors include her husband; a son, James Lloyd Cummins; daughters, Sandra Blake, and husband, Davis, Evelyn Daman, and husband, Mike, Alice Gauna, Suzy Donaldson, and husband, Billy, and Billie Ruth Cummins; a brother, Harold Rhymes; 28 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

The family requested memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
