      Lena Elizabeth Cummins, 76, of Lampasas died Jan. 26, 2008, at her residence. Funeral services are Jan. 29 at 3 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Veazey officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.

      Lometa resident Samuel Thomas "Mickey" McGuire, 88, died Jan. 24, 2008, at his daughter's home in Houston. Graveside services were Jan. 28 at Little Elm Cemetery in Little Elm. Mr. McGuire was born March 3, 1919, in Coshocton, Ohio, to Francis Rickets and Winifred Audrey Thomas McGuire.

      No services are planned for Barbara Jean Schoellman, 68, of Lampasas. Her body will be cremated. Mrs. Schoellman died Jan. 24 at Rollins Brook Community Hospital in Lampasas. She was born May 18, 1939, in Houston, the daughter of Harold Edward and Wilma Mearl Rau Eades.
