Theft charge nets jail sentence Jonathan O'Neal Valentine, 27, was sentenced by Judge Joe Carroll to four years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division in recent 27th District Court action. Valentine is charged with theft over $20,000 and under $100,000. On a charge of misapplication of fiduciary property, Betty Fay Alexander, 43, was given nine months in state jail with credit for jail time served. Twenty-two-year-old Paul Brian Crawford of Temple was assessed a 90-day state jail sentence and four years' deferred adjudication probation for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He also must pay a $1,000 fine. A three-year jail sentence probated to three years was given to Norris Allen Wood, 37, of Lampasas for failure to comply with registration requirements. Carroll dismissed a charge of hindering a secured creditor. Three years' deferred adjudication probation was given to 40- year-old Sandra Gayle Forshee. The Copperas Cove resident, charged with possession of a controlled substance, must pay a $250 fine and restitution and enter a substance abuse treatment program. Bond was increased to $25,000, and a warrant was issued for the arrest of Dwayne Harlan Camp, 37, of Amarillo when he failed to show up for court. Camp is charged with possession of a controlled sub- stance, methamphetamine. Daniel Ryan Anderson, 24, had his bond revoked and increased to $75,000 on two charges of intoxication assault. Anderson remains in jail in Bonham on new charges. Jamey Ryan Hole, 20, was given two years' deferred adjudication probation for burglary of a building. James Scott Culver, 48, of Bastrop was assessed a $1,000 fine and $215 in court costs for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. A plea on adjudication is on tap today for Ty Justin West, 28, for hindering a secured creditor. Jury trial is set Monday for James Patrick Trunk, 45, of Killeen for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver; April Dawn Smith, 28, of Lampasas for theft over $1,500 and under $20,000; Rocky Dale Rhodes, 55, of Bruceville for theft over $1,500 and under $20,000; and for Austin resident Jeremy Mathurin, 22, for criminal attempt. Arraignments on the Feb. 8 docket include George Gail Minga, 38, of Killeen for forgery and Esmeralda Sanchez, 21, of Lampasas for two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Pretrial hearings are Feb. 22 for Elisha Ann Nelson, 21, of Marble Falls, charged with possession of a controlled substance/methamphetamine, and Clay Cory Havins, 40, for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition. A charge of possession of a controlled substance/cocaine against Harker Heights resident Rayford Wayne Lockett, 42, was reduced to a misdemeanor. He was ordered to serve two days in jail and credited with time served. Lockett also must pay $215 in court costs. Lampasas resident Duane Cole Myers, 45, is set for a March 10 jury trial for possession of a controlled substance/methamphetamine. Pleas are to be entered March 14 by Joseph Eric Sutton, 31, of Lampasas for assault-family enhanced and Emmett Lee Pugh, 59, of Lampasas for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition. The judge ordered presentence investigations in both cases. Brian Holstein, 23, of Lampasas is slated for an April 18 review. He is charged with burglary of a building and possession of a controlled substance. A jury trial is set April 18 for Copperas Cove resident Richard Guy Jensen, 44, for aggravated assault/threat with a deadly weapon. The state dismissed a motion to revoke for Patricia Diane Rudd, 34, of Granite Shoals on a charge of prohibited substance in a correctional facility. |
