The Highland Lakes Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas presented "The Useful Wild Plants of Texas, the Southeastern and Southwestern United States, the Southern Plains, and Northern Mexico," volumes 1 and 2, by Cheatham, Johnston & Marshall to the Marble Falls Public Library at its Jan. 12 meeting.
The presentation was made by chapter president Barbara Anderson.
The Highland Lakes chapter meets the second Saturday of each month at 1 p.m. in the library's meeting room.
Purpose of the Native Plant Society is to promote in the Highland Lakes Area the conservation, research and utilization of native Texas plants and habitats as well as to help established residents expand their knowledge of native plants. There are local chapters throughout the state, and Highland Lakes chapter members can be found in Lampasas, Burnet, Llano, Blanco and northwestern Travis counties.
