Church to feature Cynthia Clawson in concert

Called "the most awesome voice in gospel music" by Billboard Magazine, Cynthia Clawson will perform Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Lampasas.

The concert will benefit missionary ministries in Imo State Nigeria, which includes a motherless babies home, schools and a community hospital.

Ms. Clawson is a Grammy and Dove Award-winning vocalist who has been singing for more than four decades. She has been a frequent guest on Bill and Gloria Gaither's Homecoming series, and has reached millions throughout the world with God's message of love and grace.

She and her husband, Ragan Courtney, are co-pastors of The Sanctuary in Austin.

The free concert will feature music from Ms. Clawson's recent recordings as well as some gospel favorites.

A voluntary offering will be taken during the performance.
