LHS boys' team looks to improve before district

      The Lampasas High School boys' soccer team didn't get off to a blazing start, going 0-4 at the Mustang Classic in Marble Falls last weekend. But first-year head coach Greg Porter isn't necessarily worried about the Ws and Ls at this point in the season.

Annual show experiencing dramatic growth each year

      Last weekend the Dallas Safari Club put on its annual show for both its members and the public. There were guides, pro hunters and outfitters from all over the world. Custom rifle and knife makers were there also, along with taxidermists whom I consider artisans in their field.
