CTC offers scholarships; application deadline March 31

Central Texas College Foundation is accepting scholarship applications for the 2008-09 academic year.

Interested students have until March 31 to apply for any of the more than 120 endowed scholarships totaling more than $2.6 million available. Scholarship opportunities are based on financial need as well as academic achievement.

Graduating high school seniors interested in attending CTC in the fall also may apply for a scholarship through the CTC Scholarship Fund.

Each year CTC awards several two-year scholastic scholarships to qualified graduating high school seniors. Deadline for these scholarships is also March 31.

The online application for both the CTC Foundation and CTC Scholarship Fund for high school seniors is available at www.ctcd. scholarships.nelnet.net/.

The scholarship application process has been simplified so students no longer need to fill out an individual application for each scholarship. They may now simply fill out an online application and use that one application for as many scholarships for which they are eligible.

For students seeking other financial assistance, now is the time to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

The FAFSA must be completed prior to applying for any scholarships or financial aid for the next academic year and can be found at http:// www.fafsa.ed.gov/.
