Kempner VFD sets annual auction, BBQ

Kempner Volunteer Fire Department's annual barbecue and auction is March 1.

A catered dinner will be served at 4 p.m. and included brisket and all the trimmings and a drink. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for kids under 13. Desserts will be available.

The auction begins at 5:30 p.m., and features a variety of gift certificates and other items.

All proceeds benefit the fire department enabling it to purchase necessary equipment, such as tools needed for a new fire truck.

Tickets for the dinner are available at the door and are not required to participate in the auction.
