Mrs. Craig

Iris Craig, 78, of Lampasas died Jan. 8, 2008, at her residence.

Family visitation is Jan. 18 from 3-4 p.m. at Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel in Lampasas. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. with Jack Riley officiating.

Mrs. Craig was born July 22, 1929, in Taylor, the daughter of Ira and Willie Conolly Martin.

She was a member of the Church of Christ in Lampasas for 45 years as well as a member of San Antonio Eastern Star for 48 years.

Mrs. Craig was a volunteer for the Lampasas Senior Center and a local nursing home. She also volunteered for the Washington for Jesus event at her church.

She is survived by nieces, Bernice Shaver and husband, Kenneth, and Laura Shaver and husband, Billy, all of Houston; a greatniece, Grace Shaver, of Houston; two great-nephews, Luke and Christopher Shaver, of Houston; two half-sisters, Geneva Gadbury, of Dallas, and Louise Martin, of San Antonio; and a cousin, Linda Wright and family, of Lampasas.
