Summer study program offered

DiversityAbroad.com and AIFS announce the creation of the DiversityAbroad.com summer scholarship sponsored by the American Institute for Foreign Study, offering $10,000 in scholarships to deserving, underrepresented students.

Scholarships are being given to students who meet the criteria and are to be used for studying abroad in the summer of 2008. Five scholarships of $2,000 each may be used toward any of the study abroad programs offered by Diversity Abroad sponsors.

Diversity Abroad was founded to ensure that minority and other under represented students are aware of and have access to international study and exchange opportunities.

"Unfortunately, lack of financial resources continues to be one of the leading factors that precludes more minority students from going abroad," said Andrew Gordon of Diversity Abroad.
