Woman uninjured in rollover

A Round Rock woman's vehicle flipped at least four times Monday afternoon, but she received only minor injuries.

Kelly Elizabeth Lawley, a student on her way back to college, dropped off the northbound shoulder of U.S. Highway 183 about five miles south of Lampasas.

She overcorrected left, and her 2005 Nissan Xterra rolled over at least four times, coming to rest right-side up, according to the accident report.

"It usually involves major injury," Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Allen Meyer said of a multiple-roll accident.

"She had her seat belt on, and that definitely helped her. If she had not been wearing her seat belt, she probably would've been ejected."

Capital Ambulance transported the driver to Rollins Brook Community Hospital for apparent minor cuts and bruises. Lampasas Fire Department, Lampasas County Sheriff's Department and Oakalla Volunteer Fire Department also responded and assisted at the accident scene.
