Teen receives adjudication probation on theft charge In recent 27th District Court action with Judge Joe Carroll presiding, Lampasas resident Raymond Smith, 18, received five years' deferred adjudication probation for theft over $1,500 and under $20,000. Smith also is to serve seven weekends in the Lampasas County Jail and must pay restitution of nearly $59,000, or a lesser sum to be determined by the state. He also must pay $750 in fines. In a hearing before the court, five years' probation was assessed George Truitt, 42, of Kempner on a charge of evading arrest with a vehicle. Truitt must serve 30 days in the county jail and pay a $2,500 fine. Robert Eric Younggreen, 24, of San Saba was given three years' deferred adjudication probation, and must pay a $1,000 fine and court costs for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. He also was ordered to attend a drug treatment facility. On a charge of indecency with a child, sexual contact, 19-year-old Welsey Ray Nichols received two years' deferred adjudication proba- tion and a $500 fine. An arrest warrant was issued and bond increased to $50,000 for Copperas Cove resident James Kelly Loiseau, 23, who failed to show up for court. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance. Dude Edward Beabout, 50, of Gatesville, charged with theft over $1,500 and under $20,000, is to be arraigned today, as is Earnest Harold Smiley, 58, for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition. Arraignment is set Jan. 18 for Elisha Ann Nelson. The 21-yearold Marble Falls resident is charged with possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. An adjudication hearing is slated Jan. 18 for Ty Justin West, 28, for hindering a secured creditor. A Jan. 25 pretrial hearing is on tap for John Ebon Woodruff, 33, for illegal dumping: disposal. Arraignments are scheduled on Jan. 25 for Nicholas Darrell Harvin, 27, for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine; Douglas Lynn McGuffey, 21, for possession of a controlled substance; and Ted Paul Horn, 69, for aggravated assault causing bodily injury with a deadly weapon. Jury trial is on the Jan. 28 docket for April Dawn Smith, 28, of Lampasas for theft over $1,500 and under $20,000; and Rocky Dale Rhodes, 55, of Bruceville for theft over $1,500 and under $20,000. Ms. Smith also faces an adjudication hearing the same day for debit card abuse. Isreal Garcia, 32, is expected to enter a plea Feb. 8 for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition. A presentence investigation was ordered. Also set Feb. 8 is a pretrial hearing for Rachel Ann Byrd, 32, of Kempner for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Phillip Owen Jackson Jr., 26, is to enter a plea Feb. 22 for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition. A presentence investigation was ordered. And a March 14 trial before the court is set for 21-year-old Belton resident William Henry Smart for burglary of a habitation. |
