PEC reduces utility rates
      At its Dec. 17 meeting, the Pedernales Electric Board of Directors approved rate reductions for residential, water well, interconnection backup and small power customers. Reduced rates will be reflected on bills rendered after Jan. 1.

Woman uninjured in rollover
      A Round Rock woman's vehicle flipped at least four times Monday afternoon, but she received only minor injuries. Kelly Elizabeth Lawley, a student on her way back to college, dropped off the northbound shoulder of U.S. Highway 183 about five miles south of Lampasas.
