Passport workshop to be held Saturday

U.S. Congressman Lamar Smith is hosting a Passport Workshop Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Encino Park Station, 20403 Encino Ledge, Encino Park, TX.

The workshop is for area residents who want to learn about new passport requirements and file an application for a passport.

Smith will be joined by representatives from the U.S. Postal Service who will answer questions and assist with passport applications.

Information needed to complete a passport application includes a passport fee of $67 for adults and $52 for children under 16, and passport photos, available for $15. All applicants must bring two 2x2 photos if not purchasing photos on site.

Two forms of identification also must be provided: driver's license or state identification card, and certified birth certificate, which includes an official seal, or naturalization certificate if applicant is a naturalized citizen.
