Mary Marez

Mary E. Marez, 79, of Lampasas died Jan. 6, 2008, in a local nursing home.

Rosary was recited Jan. 8 at Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox Funeral Home in Lampasas. Burial mass was Jan. 9 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lampasas with Father Pedro Castillo officiating. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Marez was born July 5, 1928, in Crowley, Colo., to Ralph and Agnez Sanchez Lopez.

She is survived by 13 children, Jose Garza, Vera Garez and William Navarette, of Colorado, Steve Marez of Houston, Phillip Marez, Ralph Marez, Manuel Marez, Sylvia Morua, Annabell Salazar, Alex Marez and Thomas Marez, all of Lampasas, Elosie Robles of Burnet, and Ric Marez of Kyle; 40 grandchildren; numerous greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Juarez, of California, and Rose Quintana, of Arizona; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers; and five grandchildren.
