Art work of Mary Tittle spotlighted in December

Mary Tittle has been named Artist of the Month for December. Some of her handiwork is on display in the foyer of My Girls.

Lampasas Art Club member Mary Tittle coordinated her Artist of the Month display for December with the Christmas season. Her display is featured at the entrance to Lampasas Art Gallery in the foyer of My Girls, at the corner of Live Oak and Third streets.

Ms. Tittle's exhibit centers around the Christmas tree holding many of the unique angels she has collected through the years. Many are handmade, and some were created by Ms. Tittle and her mother, the late Jewel Tittle.

Some reflect Ms. Tittle's artistic talent, specializing in counted cross-stitch, needlepoint and knitting. All hold special memories for the artist.

A longtime member of Lampasas Art Club and a native Lampasan, Ms. Tittle enjoys painting scenes from photographs at various places she has visited. A variety of her paintings are on display at the art gallery.

Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery is open to the public. For more information, phone 556- 9755.
