Funeral services for Lometa resident Ola Almarine Klose, 89, are Dec. 20, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Lometa Church of Christ with Darnell Boyd officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.
Visitation is one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Klose died Dec. 15 at her residence.
She was born April 16, 1919, in Palo Pinto, the daughter of David and Ivy Holt Lewis. The family moved to Lampasas County in 1923.
Mrs. Klose graduated from Lampasas High School.
She married Melvin Fred Klose on Sept. 7, 1940, in Lampasas. He was a former owner of Western Auto in Lampasas.
Mrs. Klose was a homemaker and a member of Lometa Church of Christ, Ogles Home Demonstration Club, Daughters of the American Revolution and Lometa Buyers' Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Melba McCulloch and husband, John, of Temple, and Dorothy Morrison and husband, Larry, of Lometa; three sons and their wives, M.F. and Linda Klose Jr. of Lometa, Gary and Brenda Klose of Savoy and David and Corine Klose of Fredericksburg; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in April 1988; by two sisters, Edwina Null and Deanie January; a brother, Rodney Lewis; a grandson-in-law, Brian Thorp; and a granddaughter, Deborah Morrison.
The family requested memorials be made to Cherokee Children's Home.
