Judge gives 10 years' probation in DWI case
Anthony Richard Evans, 48, was given 10 years' probation and a $1,500 fine for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition in recent 27th District Court action.
Judge Joe Carroll also ordered Evans to pay court costs and to attend a substance abuse program.
Bond was increased to $100,000, and an arrest warrant was issued for Patricia Michelle Maynard, 34, when she failed to show up for court on a charge of possession of a chemical with intent to manufacture.
An arrest warrant also was issued for Judy Chandler, 40, of Pleasanton when she didn't show for court. Bond was increased to $35,000. She is charged with theft of livestock.
In a case of aggravated assault on a public servant against Sergio Argumendo Castruita, 27, of Lampasas, the state dismissed the charge, and it will be prosecuted in county court.
Lampasas resident Clarence Ray Biddy, 55, had his charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell reduced to a Class A misdemeanor. He was fined $2,000 and ordered to pay court costs.
On a charge of injury to a child, bond was increased to $20,000 and an arrest warrant issued for Robert Samora Ayala, 42, of Modesto, Calif., when he didn't show up for court.
A punishment hearing is Dec. 19 for Clay Cory Havins, 41. He is charged with driving while intoxicated and felony repetition.
Dec. 19 arraignments are slated for Mineral Wells residents William Charles Andrews, 27, and Darwin Lee Glover, 25, both charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Arraignments on Jan. 9 are set for Justin Mark Valois, 25, of Lampasas on a charge of burglary of a building; Rafael Gonzales, 39, for possession of a controlled substance; and Shane Edward Johnson, 21, of Lampasas for endangering a child.
Jan. 9 pretrial hearings are to be held for Christopher Ronald Bagley, 20, of Copperas Cove for deadly conduct, discharging a firearm by an individual; and Marie Greenley, 49, for hindering a secured creditor.
On a charge of taking wildlife without consent, Dixon Dewayne Dewald, 19, of Gatesville is expected to enter a plea Jan. 9.
A Jan. 16 pretrial hearing is scheduled for Omar Ramos, 49, for possession of a controlled substance.
Jan. 16 arraignments are on the docket for Calvin Ray Pavey, 20, of Lampasas for burglary of a building and possession of a controlled substance; and Adrian Martinez Ibarra, 29, of Lampasas for aggravated assault on a public servant with a deadly weapon.
Pretrial hearings are set Jan. 23 for Anthony Wayne Faught, 39, of Lampasas for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver; and Paul Oneal Potter, 29, for harrasment of a public servant.
For criminal non-support, Paul Thomas Hughes, 40, is to have a trial before the judge on Jan. 23.
A plea is set to be entered on Jan. 23 by Gilbert Chris Martinez, 44, on a charge of sexual assault of a child under 17. The judge ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
Jury trials are slated March 23 for Kurt Allen Hesbrook, 46, for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver; Malcolm Scott Walker, 21, for burglary of a building -- entry with intent to commit theft; and Daniel Anthony Aguirre, 37, of Lampasas for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition, and bond jumping.
